The Social Contract was written by Rousseau in which he laid out his theory on the best way to establish a political community in the face of society's problems. The book was the inspiration for some political reforms or revolutions in Europe, especially in France. After the fall of the monarchical and religious legitimacy as a basis for government in Europe, it became necessary to search for an alternative legitimacy on which political rule is based and on the basis of which the responsibilities of the ruler and the ruled are determined, and the duties and rights of each of them.
