The most common causes of bloody urine are:
-The presence of bleeding in the urinary system.
-Infection that affect the urinary tract, whether bacterial or viral.
-Benign prostatic hyperplasia in older men ,especially those over the age of 50.
-Kidney, ureter and bladder stones.
-Urinary tract tumors.
-The presence of congenital such as polycystic kidneys.
- Infection with some diseases such as hemophilia, leukemia, or sickle cell anemia.
-Take some medications like Penicillin, Aspirin, Heparin, and others.
- Sometimes the reason for the dark color of urine is to eat some foods that contain strong dyes, such as beets or cranberries, and this does not indicate a disease or blood in the urine and that color disappears within a few days.
